Hello,

For those who have already landed with a vehicle - just wondering if you had to surrender your certificate of title when obtaining Canadian license plates?
As far as I know the certificate is important to keep in the event of sale or transfer, so I was taken aback when Service Ontario required the original.  Why do they need the original?
They also kept my original personal effects form that had I filled out at the border when landing.

Anyone else had to surrender these items as well?

Thanks in advanced!
