Hi!

I'm going to keep this short since I tend to ramble when in need of sleep.

My American wife and I(Canadian) got married in Toronto in May. We got our marriage license in the mail in August and I didn't notice until now that I made a huge mistake. I wrote my birthplace was Ontario instead of Germany(which is where I'm born).

Fear not though as I have already received the package that helps me change the error.
I have everything I need to prove my birth minus a translated birth certificate.

My question is, does anyone know where to translate a birth certificate in Toronto? (It's persian and needs to be english)
I also need a affidavit from them and know nothing about that process.

ALSO

My wife wants to take my last name before she completes her side of the paper work.
Is it worth it to do this or should she change it when she lands in Canada?

I know my questions are a bit odd but I would appreciate any help given.
I can't really sleep when I stress out like this.

Thanks in advance!

Hi NimaM

Contact these people  for any document translation.  They know all the govt. procedure how to do. Don't worry about the affidavit.Get a quote for the service.

I suggest change of names by your wife can be done later after her landing. Don't do it now

Cheers!
