Dear All,

I had recently added surname in my name, which was also absent in all academic documents / certificates (10th/12th DMC and certificate, B.tech DMCs and Degree). Only my passport got updated with this change, after the declration of the same in two Newspaper.

So I am now in a confusion, that whether CHC will accept this or not. Or what all the necessary documents I have to forward in this support. kindly provide your valuable suggestion.

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

You would need to provide the below mentioned docs for shocasing the name of change

- original affidavit for change of name
- original Newspaper showing your change of name advertisement
- Notarized copies of; if you have previous passport with your old name along with new passport showing your new name
- If advertisement published in Gazette of India, then notarized copy with date of release

I think this should do the job.

Thanks Hanhza,

During the course of adding surname, I had prepared three affidavits for the same. Two of which were given to Newspaper press for publishing the add for the addition of surname and remaining one had submitted to the passport office for the process. So whether you want to say that, i have to get a new affidavit stating the addition of surname.
one thing more, whether i have to sent original newspapers or i can forward notarized photocopies of newspapers showing the necessary advertisement of surname addition.

Thanks

hi

u don't have to send them anything. every doc will be accepted the way it is. i m in the process of adding my surname to my pp and they have not asked for anything. i applied for pr with my full name including my surname. as soon as i receive my updated pp i will submit it to them and that's it.

Thanks Sanjeev,

got relief after reading your reply, but r u sure for that, i mean they shouldn't get confused, as name is different in passport and certificates, So some documents should be there to eradicate their confusion. At which stage u are ...???

Any other reply for the same will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

hi meena

i live in ludhiana and i appeared for IELTS in ludhiana itself. i joined a center for one month before the test. i think it's better to join a coaching centre for preparation. in my case i never had time to prepare at home or at my office and centre was the only place for me nd don't worry, u will come through it. it's not really tough to crack IELTS exam. just have a calm and positive mind frame and everything will be easy for u.

as for PCC. i applied for the same at SSP Office in my city. and within 3-4 days it was ready. though i collected it from them after almost 10 days, due to my spouse being out of city and her signature were needed to collect her PCC.

for third part of ur question, i submitted proof of funds, education certificates for both myself and my spouse, copies of passports (all pages), marriage certificate, copy of Income Tax Returns and experience certificate.

Thanks for your reply.

Do we have to submit Ref Letters for Spouse also as I am the main Applicant. What about the Ref Letter from your current Company? Were u able to arrange it.

I am finding very difficulties in doing the same.

hi meena

well, i never needed reference letters as i am a chartered accountant and have my own office. but some of my friends have been really lucky to receive these from their employers. i don't see any problems there. don't worry. if u believe in God, then just pray and be calm, everything will be just fine.

regards.

they r the same. and if there is any change/updation u must incorporate in final application to CHC-ND. don't hide anything and success will be urs to claim.
