I have seen this question posted by other members but did not see a similar scenario. In the document checlist, it says that it should be filled by the 1) principal applicant 2) spouse 3) children above 18 years and in the form it says that it should be filled by the principal applicant.
As I was confused with the contradiction, I submitted the form with my details and filled out the spouse section with all the details. In the document checklist, I mentioned the difference and thats the reason why I submitted only one form (by the principal applicant) with the spouse information.
From this forum, I did see suggestions to include two forms by replicating the information and change the names where necessary but unfortunately I read it only after I posted the docs.
Please could you let me know your views ?

Hi sanity, The best scenario would have been - 2 forms filled by you and your spouse (and by dependents above 18yr). But since you have send the docs nothing can be done. You will be asked by the VO for clarification (if at all) at a later stage. Your options: Send your VO the form signed by your spouse when you reach RBVO stage with a cover letter to explain that it was an oversight. I hope everything will be alright. Mitali

Hi Mitali, I am also updating my status in the visa office. I was single while I applied. Now after marriage, needs to update the visa office. Which are the forms needed to fill up. Let me say which forms should be filled up by me, which by my spouse and which are by both. Hope to hear from you soon. Many thanks, Deba

Thanks Mitali - as I am in the initial step, do you think the application can be rejected as they check the forms as a first step? - which means I would not be able to reach the VO stage to clarify or send the amended form. Sanity

IMO,you should be able to clear CIO stage if the above forms are the only concern. It is understandable that sometimes the requirements as mentioned on the CIC website are confusing that leads to errors. In your case you have provided all the information but in one form. So the application is complete and at CIO the Completeness of the application is checked...so I think you are Ok. Mitali

Thats promising - thanks very much Mitali. In btwn, it was my second application in a period of 3 weeks as I had re-do the entire process with new forms, notarising docs etc etc since in the earlier application I could not include the transcripts and failed to mention it in a cover letter. Have heard of second time unlucky and is re-assuring myself that i wont fit into that bill ! Sanity

Shijoal, Going by your timeline, I think you are safe. 'Supplementary Information ' was not part of the old forms until recently i.e post 18th July. Prior to using this form, we were asked to write or print the travel details on a bond paper - so dont worry , you should be okay. Good luck with your application. Sanity
