My wife wants her parents (from colombia) to visit next summer...with the new supervisa, what advantage is there to ask for a tourist visa or mulrtiple entry tourist visa instead? They dont want to remain in canada but the multiple entry seems nice....

I am a little lost...on what to do...

The full details for the new super visa haven't been published yet. So I would wait for this information to become available before making a decision.

If they only want to visit for a couple of weeks or months, go with the multiple-entry 5 year visa currently in place.  The super-visa is for those who want to stay for up to 2 years.

Well they will take into account insofar as it is the reason for their visit.  But it's the other stuff that they will look at more closely.  The supervisa will have nothing to do with their process.
