I'm not an insurance broker, yet thought to share this: http://www.visitorsinsurance.ca/This site envelopes almost all the insurance plans available for Super Visa in a low-to-high cost order with their respective benefits in a comparison chart. I liked the way it quotes.

Hello! I am new in the forum. It's great to find all this useful information about the Super Visa! Congratulations to those who already got it My Mom is planning to apply for the Super Visa in Colombia, by the way anyone applying in South America? However I still have a doubt. I am studying full time (not working) but my husband is working and meets the LICO requirements. My question is, does this LICO refer to my income (because is my mother the one who's applying?) or can we support her based on our family income even though I am not working? Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!

My MIL had a notice from the clinic to have another chest xray done, I believe this is usually done to confirm active TB disease if they found something from initial test. Old scars from TB would still show up on their latest exam if they have prior TB infection, she never or doesnt remember having TB, but isnt they should do some sputum/phlegm exam to diagnose active TB disease.
Anyone here who have gone thru the same additional medical/chest xray exam? Just another hiccup on the processing which will make the waiting game even longer.
Hi, My mom, went to see a pulmonologist to get pulmonary clearance certificate. She has 3 small calcified nodules within her respiratory sytem close to her spinal cord. She never had TB either, but she accidentally drunk strong chemical when she was little, my mom told me that she received a wrong first aid intervention, but thankfully she still survived. We filed our application on February 3, we received medical instruction on February 10. My dad got his medical examination complete, but mom had to go through the chest xray comparison, sputum test, and finally the pulmonary specialist to confirm the chest xray and lab findings. It is not recommended to get more than one chest xray in a month or so due to the radiation and some other complications that I am not sure about. My mom had previous chest xrays for her previous occupation. Anyway, so when my mom got her pulmonary certificate, the DMP forwarded my mom and my dad's medical examination result to the Canadian embassy on February 22. We are hoping and praying that the next delivery will be their passports along with their visas. I hope this will help.

Hi Pulsarsidhu, I am very excited to learn that we have a very similar timeline. Please keep us all posted as soon as you get something from the Canadian embassy. Regards, Moraine

Hello,
I want to apply for my parents super visa. I have some basic queries before going through the process whether am i eligible or not.
I have start working as a contractor from June 2011 and my income is around 30$/hr that means around 58 or 60K annual. I am also doing PhD and i was getting around 20K annual for that too before starting the Job after Job that amount has gone.
Now, I got T4 which shows i have 29,000 income last year but for family size 3 it should be around 34,000.
1. Let me know am I eligible or not? 2. Secondly, I dont get the sentence written for medical insurance "provides a minimum coverage of $100 000", Is there anyone already took insurance let me know the comp. name?
Regards,

If my parents wont live here more then 6-month that amount will be refund? Regards, If he wants to stay after 2 year just pay $75 and apply for extension with CIC Vegreville. If he wants to go back home and then come back, he needs to reapply for a new Super visa with a new passport. I don't see any problem in either case.

Sorry to share this but one of my fellow Bangladeshis has been rejected Super Visa for his parents. Background:He submitted application on Jan 18. He did not provide neither T4 nor NOA for 2011 as both of them were too early to have. Anyway, his parents were asked to do medicals as well. During the processing (don't exactly know when), he was asked to submit NOA for the recent year in one month. He did not even file tax return for 2010; so he had to write an explanation letter to substitute everything. Anyway, he found out from case processing inquiry that their applicaion have been processed on Feb 20. Finally, when his parents went to receive the passports, it got rejected for not providing NOA. [Read his story: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/supervisa-from-bangladesh-t93529.0.html;msg1299136#msg1299136] Now, I have to re-consider my case as well. Will submitting T4 for 2011 be enough or I should wait to receive NOA for 2011?

The fact that he did not even file taxes for 2010 is a deal breaker in CIC eyes. He did not satisfy the officer with complete documentation.

Regards,
Your payslip will suffice income proof just fine! I didn't submit NOA because the previous year I didn't make enough and this year won't be released until March so I sent in my payslip (the last 4 slips) and verification of employment from employer, and those were accepted. In your case I assume you are self-employed, you can ask your accountant to produce some documents showing monthly income. You can also combine your wife income for a household income. In your Rossie's friend case, I assume the sponsor FAILED to present any income proof to VO, that's why it was rejected. Explanation letters won't work. You must have at least one piece of income proof to include.

The guy(sponsor) submitted the following: Invitation letter, Employment Letter, Pay stubs, T4, Bank statements I guess the T4 was from 2010. But CIC-Bangladesh did not accept any of employment letter or pay stubs as a proof of income. It's pretty similar to TRUONGAN (I don't know if you submitted your T4 for 2011). How do you justify this? That's why I was so worried re: NOA. I had a feeling from previous experience that NOA is regarded as the most reliable proof of income to some visa offices (expecially if you're applying through VFS). Here is a reason (copied from VFS-New Delhi, India): Proof of inviter's ability to provide financial support in the form of independent, third-party documentation from a Canadian source which is reliable or easily verifiable. For example, but not limited to: - Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessments [NOA] for the most recent year, and/or - Other proof of income for the 12 months preceding the application such as T4 slips, employment letters showing salary, pay stubs, banks statements, Statements of Remuneration Paid or financial statements prepared by a licensed professional.

I didn't submit T4. I applied for my mom back in last December. T4 was not available until Feb, NOA not until March. I think CIC in Vietnam understands that fact. If Bangladesh is tougher then you guys should wait for NOA this year just to be safe.

I'm afraid that it is tough. Moreover, VFS-India has made it pretty clear by stating that they value NOA most. They've also made their own checklist for Super Visa ( http://www.vfs-canada.co.in/images/ParentsandGrandparents_Eng_23jan2012.pdf). Whereas VFS-Bangladesh doesn't have anything like it and yet redirects to CIC original checklist for TRV/Super Visa.
