Hey.. I have been reading everything.
And I m not sure if I like what I'm reading or not.
I'm right at the edge of sponsoring my spouse... just about to being the long... long jounry.
I'm living with my mother who is living in Subsidized housing, I work...and... want to sponsor my husband.
Is this an issue with sponsoring him?
and I make.. not a hell of a lot of money, you see I'm part time.. but I told that wasn't an issue

So.. out of everything I've read.

Will I be refused for being on subsidized housing?Sad I can't afford an apartment at the moment

Being on subsidized housing would not be a problem. I know a few people who successfully sponsored. As long as you are not on welfare you're fine.

Oh wow.. really ? =O
They were on subsidized housing and sponsored? =O
I know a girl who had to change where she lived because of subsidized housing.. ...
You kind of boost my spirits though =)
It's good to hear that someone has done it before, not just one.. but a few...
It helps to have a lawyer I am assuming? =)

No. RGI is not considered social assistance. I know people who live in RGI (subsidized housing) and they have been able to sponsor with no problems. As long as you're not on welfare or undischarged bankruptcy you're fine.

RGI is where you pay 30% .. rgith? for subsidized housing?
What if I live with my mother, who's susbisdized house in her name, and she is on bankruptcy for 9 months?
Is that goign to affect my chances of being accepted to sponsor my husband?... aswell, I am not making a lot of money... is this bad .. will I be able to sponsor him, has anyone made just enough on partime ... and lived on subsidized housing, and sponsored someone?

As well.. what is undischarged bankruptcy? I'm trying to figure everything out before  I start anything... my bones are shaking becuase I'm so nervous about everything.

Undischarges bankruptcy means the person declared bankruptcy and has not be released/discharged because their debts have not be erased.  When a person who declares bankrupcty has completed all arrangements regarding paying off their debts, they receive an "order of discharge" clearing them of any further liability for those debts.

Your mother's financial circumstances will not affect your eligibility to sponsor your spouse.  If you want to prevent CIC having any questions regarding your ability to support yourself and your spouse and thereby fulfill your sponsor obligations, ensure that you include proof that your spouse has transferable skills, such a trade certification, professional qualification and skills in English or French, if applicable.

You need copies of his university transcript, including the letter advising him he would have to repeat his final year in order to graduate.  If he has any trade/skills certificates, include copies of these.  He will have to list his work history on the application forms, so that will show the kind of work he is capable of.
