Hi

I did have a new medical done since my first one is going to expire in November. The doctor is going to send my documents to London and I´m wondering what I have to send them.
The office in London had not requested a new medical so I´m going to send them a letter explaining why I had a new one before they requested one.

Do you know if I have to send them the proof of medical examination copy as I did when submitted the application? (PROOF OF MEDICAL EXAMINATION
Include for yourself and each of your family members Copy 2 of the Medical Report-Section A that the DMP will sign and give to you when you undergo the medical examination).

Thank you,
Bea Lily

My husband's medical expired before his application would have been processed, so we chose to go ahead and redo the medical without being asked (it had been done quite a bit early for a work visa). I think that shaved a couple of months of waiting off our process. If you have the money to do them again before being asked, I would recommend it!

Hi Kaycee1
I did the medical redo last week, now I´m just wondering what is the best way for me to contact London, and if I should send them the Copy 2 again.
I´m happy to hear that someone else has done the redo without being asked Smiley

That's great, I think you did the right thing by doing it! We sent our copy directly to the Paris visa office to let them know it was done again. I think you should do that too Smiley

hey i just read your posts...my husband's medical is "lost" and i think before we waste time trying to track it down, we should just do another one....so...we should send our copy of the medical form directly to the visa office (pretoria) and the dr will send his part to the medical office in nairobi (think that is where the dr's send their copies)?? Where did you send your copy to the London office and what else did you have to include, besides the form itself? Just don't want another medical to get messed up too!!

Steph, sorry to hear that they lost your husband´s medical.

My doctor sent his form to the London office where my application will be processed and I sent my copy there too. I just sent it to the address that came with my boyfriends sponsorship approval letter. I also sent a short letter explaining why I was redoing the medical.
´m not sure I´m of any help to you since I don´t know it this is the right way to do it, but I hope it works!!

Good luck with you husband´s medical.

My husband re-did his medicals before they expired, and without the visa office asking for a re-do. So if they're going to expire and they haven't asked for an update yet, go ahead and do it anyways. You can't enter Canada without a valid medical so you won't be losing out on anything.

As for what you have to send in...you fill out Appendix C and take it to the doctor, along with a passport-sized picture (instructions about the size are on the website where Appendix C is) as well as your passport.. The doctor will then give you a green sheet with your picture and your name and other information on it. This is the paper you send to the embassy.

My husband just re-did his last week and this is what we had to do and bring. It might be different for you so just call the doctor you are going to and ask what you have to bring.
