hello guys,

i studied in canada for about one year, my passport was also expirinig in an year so i had to renew it. but i forgot to renew my passport and apply for visa extension i realized it when i got a call from my college telling me my passport and visa are no longer valid. i dropped out from all my courses as i didnt wanted to study illegally. under the restoration of status option i planned to re apply but my passport didnt come on time and when i applied for restoration it was too late and i then planned to leave voluntarily.

now i want to go back so my lawyer thought if i go as a visitor i will have better chances. my dad has applied for immigration under the pnp program and he has an interview next month and so i applied for the visitor visa with him but still got refused.

the visa officer gave me the reason that your history of having contravened the conditions of previous stay in canada

please help me as how should i correct this as i really want to go back and things are getting difficult for me here in my country

yes i can afford a lawyer. i can also get some documents from my country's embassy stating that my passport could not come on time because i did not have some document and i can prove those documents were lost in canada because i have a police report for it. the only thing i am worried about how i am going to justify those 90 days of restoration period that i did not utilize. and i ddont want to get rejected because that will sabotage my chances of applying in other countries.

do you think i can justify it some how?
