Hi all

I want to study in Canada next year, I sent all required documents for the study permit along with the application and my passport It arrived one week ago, however i did not get a reference number or any kind of confirmation that my application has been recived and is processing. is this normal ? how long does it usually take to get the study permit ? If an emergency happens can i cancel my application and get my passport back ?

Hey Mohammed,

I guess its normal to not receive any confirmation about the study visa processing, as we dont get any confirmation for TRV visa processing. So, you'd just need to wait. Also, I dont know if there is a process for cancellation and I believe not cos it takes the same time to get back.

All the best!

Hi,

I sent my study permit application on the 7th of June and it was received in their offices the day after. I have not until today heard anything back from them although the normal processing time has been far exceeded. I need my passport urgently to travel in two weeks to my country.

Can anyone offer any advice as to go about getting my passport back? I have sent several emails to the embassy but have not received any replies.

Thanks
