Hi,
You need following things

Documents Required to Assess Canadian Student Visa Application.
1. Confirmed offer of acceptance from university in Canada.
2. Proof that you have paid the fees for the first two semesters of your program.
3. Proof of your English language ability(TOEFEL or IELTS results)
4. Proof of sufficient funds equivalent to Canadian $ 10,000.
5. Police certificate from all jurisdictions in which you have resided since the age of     18yrs.
6. All previous educational documents.
7. Proof of employment for yourself or your parents.
8. If you will be attending McGill or Concordia University you must provide a CAQ(certificate d'acceptation du Quebec)from the Government of Quebec

Yes of course you should show a good bank statement and if your university wave off the English test then i dont think TOEFEL or IELTS is required.

BEST OF LUCK ! ! !
