hello everyone..
i have a query for student visa for canada . i am a masters in commerce in india. also going to appear for mba last sem in december in india. I want to do diploma course in accounting / management  in canada inder spp .i have scored 7 bands in ielts. .  I am worried about study mismatch issue as I am already masters in commerce. Roll Eyes PLEASE provide ur useful suggestions .

you are right...there would be definitely a question as to why are u opting for doing a diploma after masters. but that doesn't stop u from applying. you could take my case i have completed my masters in business administration specializing in HR and have worked for 4 years in HR field. i applied for a 1 year graduate certificate course in HR and i got my visa and now i am in Canada doing my 2nd semester.

I guess what you need is a proper SOP that really convince them that you have a genuine reason in doing this course.

dats a big issue already u hav done ms and y ru apllying for masters this question vl be raised by visa officer better opt for master in different field

Thanks for replying people. Inhiswill you really give me hope Cheesy and yes u are right that a strong S.O.P will carve my visa success result. i have been suggested aptly international business management course by consultants as my masters is in india ( indian economic structure and finance )and i need to develope skills as regards international business ( via my suggested course ).  Smiley

Vijay reddy .. you have mentioned  a very pertinent point which needs to be addressed accordingly. vijay u suggest that i go for different masters . but the issue is   that may not be related to my field and subsequently wont help out in long run. whats ur thought on ibm course (aforementioned ) .. hope it matches .  Smiley

Hi ad Singh,

Since you have already scored a 7.0 in IELTS, I should suggest you to take some Master or Post Graduate Diploma and You should not have any problems.

inhiswill . can u suggest me that whether i should go for one year diploma or 2 years diploma... i read that 2 years diploma gives us work permit for 3 years if necessary requirements are met.. also suggestions from other forum members are invited .  Cool

I AM APPLIYING FOR STUDENT VISA CAN ANY ONE GUIDE ME
1. THAT I ELTS IS A REQUIREMENT OF EMBASSY OR COLLAGE
2. IF I DON'T HAVE IELTS THEN CAN I SUBMITTED ENGLISH PROFIENCY CERTICATE INSTEAD OF IELTS.
2. I AM APPLYING THROUGH MY COUSIN SPONSOR BANK STATEMENT OF PKR 2MILLION IS THIS ENOUGH OR NOT.

IELTS is a hidden requirement of CHC but you can give English Pro efficiency certificate from your college / University..................

AND WHAT ABOUT STATEMENT ... COUSIN STATEMNET OF RS:2MILLION IS GOOD TO SHOW OR NOT... OR I HAVE TO SHOW THIS MUCH MONEY INTO MY OWN ACCOUNT...PLEASE GUIDE

I m in the same problem as i m about to complete my masters in commerce in 3 months. I am willing to apply for one year PG diploma in International business management. I need a strong SOP.

Please send a copy to me if u can. It ll definitely help me structuring my SOP. If you r consulting an agent then please let me know about it.
