Student employable?

Hi folks,

I am a student in Canada on a study permit. Some of you may know that international students are eligible to work for one or two years after completion of degree if they can find an employer within 3 months after their graduation.

I am expecting to complete my degree in another couple of months and am job searching these days. The following sentence really confuses me in applying to jobs.

"Candidates must be legally employable in Canada to be considered for employment"

This is what some employers say in their job postings. I am not sure if I can apply for this or not. Am I legally employable in Canada? Yes if an employer gives me a letter stating that he wants me.

Or Is this for people who are illegally present in Canada? Is this any different from saying 'people who have PRs can only apply'?

Hi,
You can mention your status in the application, They may consider, if they really need you. Normally they do not want to be involved in a long process and they consider only Canadian citizens or landed immigrants with Canadian references.
