Hi all,

I should be on my way soon for a postgrad medical training in Canada.
this means temporary resident visa and a work permit to train at a hospital.
When my wife gives birth in Canada, am I qualified to invite her mother or my mother to Canada? (I can prove that I can take care of her financialy, insurance and all).

If this fails can I invite a live in care giver instead?

Any advice?
Thanks all

I appreciate your prompt reply,

just to clarify : I will invite her on the basis of helping my wife with the kids after the delivery? because in Europe this was refused, basically they said do not HIRE the mother in law, hire a European person!
In canada can I invite her as a family member or a care giver?

Proving she will return, the mother in law is a home maker, no job, can the fact that my father in law and family are back home prove that she will go home afterwards?

thanks again

No,Do not invite her to work, that is a bad reason,Invite her as family to share the special event, then extend her visa.Good Luck
