I love FIFO specially in immigration process!!

Do you guys think that the Occupation under Pressure used in the forms has something to do with it???

BTW I applied under 2171- Information Systems Analysts and Consultants

your skill code under NOC is very important! provinces have limited quota for pnp certificate and they will spread it across board for the skills under pressure. many people will not get the pnp as i heard. The approval number is not unlimited and the approval rate is even going to be less than 50% for H1B stream soon.

FIFO & LIFO..... reminds me of the dorm days
here is the principle seems LIFO.....LOL
I have applied under 2171 too..... gods knows how many of IT guys they can take.... we are too many in numbers... So this may have something to do with it I think I will ask ar123 under what NOC he applied for since his is approved.
Strawberry1009 Thanks for wishing us good luck...

Guys, I called Alberta hotline and they said that there is no quota whatsoever set per NOC. As to the delay, he said it is possible that for some they are waiting on info from other agencies like the ones we agreed to allow data exchange with at the bottom of the AINP application form.

Hope this helps!

3. I authorise the Alberta INP to confirm and verify my education and work related
information.
5. I authorise the Government of the United States of America to disclose necessary
information collected about me for the issuance of my current visa.

It is very possible they are doing that........ from the application we signed under declarations and authorization.... well coming to think of it if they wanted to do that why would they ask for copy of H1B Visa etc... I guess they just want to reserve the right to do so if need be for auditing purpose

2171 is for sure in demand...... Strawberry1009 is correct there is no cap for no. of PNP nominees. This was again answered by Gingie during our conversation.

Objective: The proportion of Canadian
immigrants landing in Alberta increases
to 10%, resulting in a minimum of
24,000 immigrants to Alberta per year
(compared to a total of 16,469
immigrants to Alberta in 2004).
Strategies: • Develop a permanent federal-provincial
agreement on the Provincial Nominee Program
(PNP) that has more flexibility and increases the
number of nominees to meet employer demand.
• Develop a coordinated marketing strategy to
increase awareness about Alberta and position the
province as a preferred destination for immigrants.
• Develop a comprehensive “Immigrate to Alberta”
website to provide a single-window access point
for information for immigrants. In addition link
to “Study in Alberta” that promotes Alberta
learning systems and opportunities to study
in the province.

The number of people Canada will accept per year is controlled. That translate to the PNP. Don't let anybody tell you it is unlimited. They will spread the timing of the pnp certificate when they meet the year's goal. Well July is a new year!
