Another question...
For those who sent the documents to AINP already.
The "job description" is a required document for it. Did you guys have your name on it?
My doesn't say my name....just the job title, description of it and the employer's logo.
Is it ok?

Thanks,
Akk

I think it would make sense to have your name on it. But, if they have questions they might contact your employer directly and ask if you work there. However, I  suggest to get a letter with your name.

Can someone..anyone be kind enough to give their processing time-line from pre-assessment to maybe CIC processing? This could show us all the speed of the processing time these days.
Appreciate it always.

June 25, 2008        -Submitted documents for pre-assessment through email
June 30, 2008        -Got confirmation through email that they received my documents
August 16, 2008     -Received invitation from AINP
September 3, 2008  -AB received my application for PNP (through FedEx tracking)
October 1, 2008      -Got notification through email that they received my application and gave file number.

I'm still waiting for the result of the application.

According to CIC website, Police Clearances must be have been issued no more than 3 months from receipt of PR Application. I have not applied for any police clearance yet, I'll wait maybe a week or two before expected date of nomination arrives.

Someone how applied on the very beginning post that they said it would take 1 month to the pre assessment phase...Mine took almost 2 months and now people are writing that may take 4 months....

dnatraj,

You applied under the biologist stream, right? If you don't mind me asking what's the highest level of education that you have and what do you do?
and do you know what happens in the 2nd stage? do they verify your education, employment, and immigration status in the united states in the 2nd stage? did you give them a letter of your duties and responsibilies from your employer during the 1st stage/ the second stage?
Thanks,
Durka

In my case, my employer was very helpful and I got a letter stating my duties in detail, salary, start date etc on the company letterhead. I also submitted a copy USCIS application by my employer. And gave these letters at both stages. I am not sure whether they verified my details but I guess they did as it took longer in my case compered to others during first stage. They took 2 months for my stage 1. My education is PhD in Bioinformatics and I do research on a US govt funded project. I was skeptical during stage 1 as I was not a pure biologist, but I included another category of NOC also (citing MBA). But I got invitation based on Biology category.

I applied in first week of Sept and got the receipt # 0178 with date recvd. as 19th Sept. The message excerpt reads "..This is to confirm receipt of your AINP application on September 19, 2008.  A decision on your application may be made in approximately 40 to 60 working days...."

I have two questions:
A. Does it mean that I can expect approval sometime between Nov and Jan? I would appreciate if someone could tell how much time it actually took them to get AINP approval.
B. If there is any document missing, how soon will AINP PMO ask for the missing documents and what is time frame to submit the same? within a month or two months of applying for PNP?

Thanks in advance,
