Hello All,
I am still waiting for my AINP application..it has been 17 days now since my pre-assessment email:)))
Quick question to anyone pls. If your AINP/PNP got approved, can  you go now officially to Canada, find an employer (hopefully quick) and have your PR be processed there by CIC? at least I have landed...and can I also bring my family over under approved AINP? just curious...
thanks

Not very sure if i get your questions? But you can't move to Canada just because your pre-assessment application was approved.

Under the H1B strategic recruitment scheme you will have to land in Alberta once your get your Canadian PR which will be after the third stage, i.e. when CIC goes over your application and grants you the PR. Yes, you can take your family at that time too, if you have applied for them as your dependent/s.

Please read comments from maldito below posted a couple of days ago....... according to this post if your AINP is approved and provided that you get a job offer from Alberta's employer you can get a temporary work permit to go to Alberta.....

Nope, not yet. If I want to work there immediately, I need a job offer from an Alberta employer.

To quote what was stated in my letter:

"If you obtain a job offer from an Alberta employer, you may contact the AINP and provide our office with documents that demonstrate that you have a valid job offer from an Alberta employer, related to the occupation of ______________. The AINP may then be able to issue a support letter that you can use for a temporary work permit from CIC."

Does the Alberta Immigration give some Case No: after receiving my application. Will they send a letter/e-mail something like that?
Thanks

You'll get your file number by email 2 weeks after Alberta receives your AINP form along with the documentation. However to apply for the provincial nomination under H1B program you'll need to get your pre-assessment approved.
In case you are applying for pre-assessment they won't give you any file number, but they'll let you know once they reach a decision of your case....

I am at the second step got the preassessment done. Just forgot where I kept the tracking number after sending the packet. So normally two weeks to hear from them right.
Thanks

raskojenkin,

your FSW or any other application will be withdrawn upon your request as soon as an officer reads your written instruction to do exactly that. IT IS ADVISABLE TO ENCLOSE YOUR PNP APPLICATION WITH THE WITHDRAWAL REQUEST. Note that you still have to pay for the new application BUT cic will mail you a refund check for the old application withdrawn, PROVIDED A DECISION HAS NOT BEEN MADE!

About hiring pharmacist from US, I am not sure I have the correct answer but here is what I know. Pharmacy is a regulated profession in Canada and even for people inside Canada, they have to go through some hoops to move between Provinces. So I assume they will not hire a Pharmacists directly from outside Canada because of the regulation. You may have to get there first and do all the conversion/credentialing before you may be granted licence to practice pharmacy. You should check the pharmacy association's website. Do a Google search for Pharmacy in Alberta for example.

Hope this helps?
