Today I receive my nomination in mail. My number is -278.
the nomination date is Dec 29th.

Hi Krish, What is your application received by them? I posted my application on Nov28 and they received on Dec 1st .But still i am not received file number. Thanks. The mail that i recieved alberta states my file nbr as xxxx-xx-459 and it says employee file number . Is the number format as nix1 has recieved a different format . Any light on this ,anyone. Congrats to all of you who received their nomination for Alberta. I am also going to apply the same during this week. However in the latest economic report I saw that Alberta unemployment rose to the highest since 1998 but still being the lowest across the nation. As Strategic recruitment steam seems to be a pilot program is there a possibility that they will close this down due to recession fears or existing applications may get rejected due to economic slowdown as I heard something like this for people applying for BC.
Please provide your thoughts on this.

My File number is -269 but i have not got any PNP approval.Is there any way to contact Alberta office to check the status of my currant application.
MY confirm receipt of AINP application was October 18, 2008.

Hi nizamii, my file no is 278,i got approvel this tuesday. Last week I had send email to APNP regarding status of my application this the reply I got on tuesday,same day I got nomination in mail. For the U.S. Visa Holder Category, due to current application volumes, a decision will be made on U.S. Visa Holder Category applications within approximately 3 months from the time the application has been accepted for processing at the AINP.
During our assessment of your application you will only be contacted by a Program Officer if we require additional information. To ensure efficient processing of AINP files, please refrain from making status inquiries.
