Hi Everyone,
I sent an email to Immigration.Info @ gov.ab.ca to inquire about status of my application. I was told that my application was processed on Dec 30th But they are unable to tell me whether it was successful or not.
They told me that I need to check my mail (snail mail) for actual outcome.
But since I am out of US , I will give them a call to know further updates.
thanks, DZ

Hi guys,
Today i got my nomination via snail mail. My # 0289 approved on Dec 29.
Btw, my police certificates are all more than 3 months old. Do i need new ones? Any ideas if CIC Buffalo office will accept 4-5 month old police certificates?

Didn't they say anything with your aprooval? Probably they sent also a to-do list or needed documents for the next phase, or something? Or am I wrong? Anyway..You will need to get new ones. From FBI is really fast, it took one week for me. You should also get it from your home country.... Akk Hi guys,

Did you sent the fees along with your CIC application? Is it 465.00 for main applicant plus 465.00 (us dollars) for spouse? Thanks, Akk I did mail my documents Today... tomorrow they'll be at the Buffalo office... Ingegarcia,
A question... Did you apply for CIC already?
Thanks, Akk

Thanks akk for your reply. Yes i did get some to-do list but it did not answer my specific question. CIC website says police certificates should not be more than 3 months. But Buffalo's old website said 6 months but that page has been removed lately. so got confused.

I actually bought a draft check for $1100 Canadian Dollars in Bank Of America and mailed it to them... 550 for me and my wife... I did not want to bother with the conversion... Inge, Just curious to know - how much service fees you paid to get this draft in CAN$ from BofA?

It usually takes from 2-3 months.... So just wait...It is too soon for both of you. But since there is no pre-assessment anymore maybe you should send the second phase documents to them, and mention that you applied for pre-assessment.. I don't know...they should have being more clear about that...Any thoughts?? Akk Hello Forum,
