Job title/designation DOES NOT MATTER. The job function/description is what matters and it shows the kind of skills you are applying on your job. They care less about title but about the skills you will take to Alberta. Your LCA will have a detailed job description/function. Friends, I have recieved AINP application kit in the mail. I will appreciate if somebody could help me with some queries... I have applied under code 2171 Information Systems Analyst and Consultant.
Actually I carry out roles of a software consultant/software architect/software developer at client site. My company is a consulting firm. My h1 LCA letter mentions that I do analysis, design, development, Testing & QA but mentions my designation as "Software Engineer".
My employer also gave me a verification letter stating my designation as "Software Engineer".
Friends do you think if this h1 LCA letter & verification letter will matter since the designation doest not exactly match the wording for NOC 2171.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Yes I was thinking about that... many people have applied after Feb 2008 and they'll get their applications returned .... I am disappointed, I had read in some other places that IT was going to be included... but only managers where... The good news is for us who are applying to AINP using H1B stream b/c we can file CIC process with no problem....

I apologize if this has been asked before.
I am about to e-mail the pre-assessment application. How do you guys get that .pdf form saved on the computer and e-mailed? So far as soon I fill the info it asks me to print it and I can only e-mail the blank form. What am I missing here...?
Maybe I have wrong Adobe version..?
Many thanks...

You can also do one thing. If you have a scanner then fill the form, print it and then scan and email it.

Senior members,
In my Federal application how do I findout which category I belong to ? The current occupation mentioned in the main application is what determines which category I belong to ? or the occupation that you mentioned in the schedule 3 - Economic class - Federal Skilled Worker form under "Your work Experience" ?
Thanks

Does this mean we can no longer apply for the (67) points skilled worker category if you are an IT Consultant?

In your work experience form, if you have AT LEAST 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE LAST 10 YEARS and the job class is listed on the 38 NOC prioritized, you are good. Even if the experience was obtained 9 years ago and you were on the job for 1 year or more. Your CURRENT job is not what determines your qualification to be processed. Senior members,

Yes, if none of the job description for the 38 job classification listed by the minister is not applicable to your experience in the last 10 years. Does this mean we can no longer apply for the (67) points skilled worker category if you are an IT Consultant?

Sorry to hear that your are not happy at this moment. I'm not sure how many years of experience you have and possess H1 status, but read about the Alberta PNP if you qualify for. Here is the link and the AB-PNP FORM is under there. http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/campaigns/h1b.html. Here is the Occupation pressure list link and find your respective profession in accordance. http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/en/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/oup/abouplist.shtmlAfter that, whatever question you have; feel free to ask here. Good Luck!!

I e-mailed 1 page pre-assessment on Dec 1st, got e-mail today asking for H1B, paystub, NOC# etc. I am almost done scanning all docs.
How detailed do you think I need to be in writing down all US exp and connecting it with NOC#? (I had 6 H1B employers in the past 9 years.).
Is it possible to have exp in more than 1 NOC# and qualify for AINP? My first US job description fits 2281 and the rest is more 2171.
