Hi All

I like to apply for Alberta US Stream – U.S. Visa Holder CategoryApplication forNomination (AINP 009A). as one of the pre-req to apply under this catagory one has to be presently serving as IT manager in US H1-B VISA Category.

I was on L1-A visa and working as Associate Manager in US. this Jan 09 I have resigned my job and changed my status from L1-A to H1-B and working as Independent consultant . do I still qualify under this category?

per their rules, you've got to be on "H1-B" for at least 1 year. earlier in the program, some applicants were allowed to use their opt after MS in this calculations, but they have since gotten strict and require 1 year H1B experience.
why did you not apply for US green card, in EB1 category no less, like scores of your buddies have done already?
