We have 2 pet rats...can we bring them into the country? I've read stuff about cats, dogs, and birds, but that's it.

Any ideas?

Google is your friend and here it is: http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/anima/heasan/import/rodente.shtml
So yes, you can bring your rats.

Same agency has to do with plants.  I could not see anything on bonsai trees but here is their question form: http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/tools/feedback/commene.shtml so you can ask.

Ask Canadian Cutoms & Border Controll authorities. I am sur they will have answer to your question. All pets coming into another country need vaccination and health clearance appart from clearance from cutoms and immigration authorities.
