Strange letter from VO_London plz advise...

Dear All,

I got a letter from VO London stating that i should send them a police certificate from Yemen. I already told them when I first applied that I cannot get it from Yemen because simply I left yemen since many years and I got no one over there.

Guess what? they only gave me 60 days to send the this to them which a 28 days have already elapsed in its way to me...

Please seniors could you advise? or anyone from Yemen.

PCC is an absolute necessary thing to send for all the countries where you have spent more than 6 months. You should have arranged it before applying, but neverthless you should try your best now to get it, may be you should visit yemen's embassy in your country, I am sure they would be able to help you. If you are unable to get it in 60 days write to CHC London and ask them to grant you some extension in this deadline,  because you got the letter after 28 days.

There is no way without PCC. You can withndraw your application if you can't arrange PCC that will ensure refund of your processing fee of 550$

your assumption was not correct.
As said above by other members that it is mandatory & responsibility of applicant to provide PCC.
You should explore way to get PCC & apply for same.

If you do not get the report with in given period, you can write explanation to VO and send along with proof of submission of PCC request. Most likely, VO will allow you more time as VO understands that some PCC could take time.

PCC is important but no problem you can send this on this stage AND WRITE EXPLAINATION.

Plz share on this time whats your ecase status.

Yes of course I can share the ecase status:

I sent the full applications in Oct. 2009
Got the 1st reply in Jan 2010
Got the 2nd reply from VO London in 27 March 2010
In process August 2010 till now

Secondly, I sent the full document to Canada not to CHC London and then CIO canada sent the full documents to London.

but if you check the OP of Whocares, he said he already explained to them why he was not able to provide PCC from Yemen. STILL, London VO is requesting for it now...probably he explained it in writing.

will another letter explaining why he cannot provide Yemen PCC be enough as he has already sent one originally?

Maybe the officer did not even read the letter or maybe they are trying to kill some time by delaying some of the applications.

I will do my best to get one, if not then what can I do. I will just explain that to them again.
