       Dear   members

I have  noticed   that    many people   give  others   poor  rating  for nothing   

for  example 
  do you imagine  that   qorax   was   negatively  rated   288   times ?


qorax   who  looks  like  an   angel   lives on earth   

In my opeinion   negative  rating  leads to   depression    and pain   

so   please    dear  members   

dear  admin 


stop   negative  ratings 
it is  worthless   except   pain   generation  and  frustration   

if  we  have  a  notice  about  bad   reply   simply  to report  it

very  sufficient

WHY?

negative  rating   is  a very   bad  mechanism to   improve  the  forum 
I know   its  goal   to  stop   the    bad  members  but   in  fact   it  lead  to  frustration   and  pain

The trouble with the rating system is that people only give positive ratings as a one-off due to a helpful post.

Those who like to give negative ratings seem to never sleep. I have been very vocal over the false postings of Nectar and his followers seem to set their weekly alarm clocks so they can neg me as soon as the 168 hours is passed Wink

The negative ratings can be annoying, I realise, especially when I already have my visa and my only reason for visiting the forum is to help other people (or at least try!). It would probably be better to remove the negative ratings altogether and just allow positive ratings.

Rating on this forum is same as other website have like youtube videos, discussion on yahoo news or events they have "Like" and "Dislike" thumb buttons.
if user or other users of this forum Like the answer they press GOOD for that answer by you or other users.

if user or other users of this forum feels that this answer is not good enough or post is worthless than it will be pressed POOR for that answer.
So, its not bad system. if user don't like Qorax answer or yours or mine they can choose Poor (similar to Dislike) rating.

I completely agree with Omm. Negative ratings mean nothing to the people who genuinely try to help others. It is just a yardstick of quality control.

The "GOODNESS" will always outweigh the "NEGATIVE".

I am also getting negatives every day and don't know for what reasons. I even do not come online and see my negatives are keep rising.

I remember I started a thread long time ago and that time moderator made negative ratings invisible.
