Hi all. I've been trying to read up on the photo specifications. I've been to several photo studios and called others and have come up completely short. No one has the dimensions specified. It's the only thing holding us back from submitting our paperwork. I am in the USA and definitely need some guidance. I read that a couple people got the USA passport photos and just cut them down. Did this actually work? Is this acceptable? We don't want the paperwork returned as this is a really big ordeal and has taken us a long time to get together.

Thanks to anyone who reads and can help.

I got my last lot of photos from a travel agent in Canada who did pics and asked for immigration photos and they knew exactly what I wanted. Maybe try travel agents instead?

You could always try phoning a random photo studio in Canada - I'm guessing they do this more regularly - and asking for specifications.

That's good and all, but that's for what seems like passport photos. I am not sure that the visa photo is the right size, and we prefer to do it in person. I am going to call someone from a travel agency as someone mentioned. Thank you. But I am most certain it wont work. No one seems helpful when I call.

It's for immigration photos as well. I used that website to do mine and I sent those to CIC. I didn't have any problem.

Okay, I will keep that place in mind then. Sears said they could do the specifications I needed for 19.99 for the 4 photos. So I am going to try that first as 'in person' works best for me. But if that fails, I'll try your site.

Thank you!!!

Immigration is not nearly as picky about photos as the Passport Office is. In most cases, passport photos should be more than adequate.
