hi im joe, im 25 and from the uk, im currently a builder and have been for the past 6 years. i've just decided to go ahead and apply for my 12 month holiday work visa 'which i can apply for twice' and that give me 24 months of stay in canada. i plan on heading to vancouver and to whistler for a few months before looking for a job. but im not sure what my next step would be if i decide to stay longer and hopefully apply for PR after 3 years. what is my next step after my 24 month working visa runs out?? as i havent been to university does this make a difference??

You need to find an employer who likes you so much that they will sponsor you for PR through PNP. In order to do this, you either have to be skilled or you have to work in a handful of occupations that have been allowed by the PNP as semi-skilled. If you have experience as a builder, a Canadian employer can call you a carpenter if he wants to and sponsor you for PR. If you get a nomination from a PNP, you can easily apply for a regular work permit once your working holiday is up if you haven't yet gotten PR at that point.
