If you are applying Common-law it is a requirement, if you are married than no, it is not a requirement.

Yep, for common-law it's required, can't go around it...

Which visa office exactly? So that I could look in the specific document. Tx.

So, you're looking at IMM 3901E...

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3901e.pdf

"If you are a common-law or conjugal partner, provide evidence that your relationship is genuine and continuing and has existed for at least 12 months prior to your application. Also provide details of the history of your relationship and at least two statutory declarations from individuals with personal knowledge of your relationship supporting your claim that the relationship is genuine and continuing."

They aren't saying it's an option...

I know, it's frustrating, this mountain of paperwork!! But after it's all been said and done, and you are in Canada with your family, you quickly forget the pains of the application process and feel proud for your achievement... Smiley

Thank you guys so much for help !!!

You are welcome.

Hi Kazakhstan

I tried to message you but I can not? Did you apply inland or outland?
Secondly have you tried to get a new Kazakhstan passport while here in Canada?

Thanks for your reply
