Status of Applications marked as "In process" as of June 2010...help please!!

[waiting agony]

Hello everyone:

  I just joined this forum to ease some anxieties about the process of waiting for my OWP and my PR. I sent my documents to CIC back in March/April 2010 and CIC states process started June 18, 2010. Fair enough, there was obvioulsy some delay in processing times. It is now almost the end of May and I have not heard anything. When I check my application status on line it just tells me that it is "In Process". I am hoping that no news are good news, but the waiting is agonizing.....anybody else along the June 2010 submission timeline waiting just like me???  Has anyone received anything yet??  I would at least like to receive my OWP, I submitted my application as a single individual and have no dependants!!      The timelines seem pretty lengthy, at this time I do not  have a ANY OHIP coverage, but I am lucky that I am still with the same employer....

am a new member to this site, like u r, am waiting with agony for the OWP, lucky for you that ur still employed, all my documents had expired and am so worried(double and triple of yours)about my status right now, hope that my sacrifices would not result to nothing. fair enough that PR application were prolonged but wish that OWP's application were not prolonged that much enable to avoid situations like mine. can anyone help us, please.

Open Work Permit is the first stage applied by a temporary foreign worker to eligibly work to any job in canada(usually given 6months after being received by CIC office)prior to the approval of permanent residency. Am actually puzzled that Open Work Permit processing was prolonged while in fact it is just a kind of work permit which processing time is 7-8 months if i'm not mistaken.

Oopppss. It has to be first stage approval then the OWP, so one must first qualify under the stream they are applying in then the OWP processing.

 @ job_seeker did we recive anything stated for first aproval?or just open work permit how we know that they grant me for first aproval? thanks
