Hi everyone! My immigration consultant provided me the tracking number for my new Work Permit application.  Is there a way for me to know the status of my application whether received or not yet by the CPC - Vegreville? Can I call the call center to check if they have received it? Or it is understood that the application is received a day after expressmail?

Thank you very much

Hi Regdor,

I was able to track a package recently.  Mine had 16 digits.

Thanks for the information. But does anyone know what courier service my immigration consultant had for my new WP application if the tracking number is composed of 1 alpha and 9 numeric, for example A123456789   ?  Anyone of you who had the same? My immigration consultant said that the mail documents will be received a day after, and they are spending much for that courier service...

Much as I would like to ask the immigration consultant tapped by my employer, I'm afraid they might get annoyed with me because I keep on asking them thru e-mail.  Take note that I have not paying them a single centavo. My new employer pays for everything regarding my application.  What I have paid is the 150CAD for the new WP which I have paid online using credit card..

Please advice. Thank you so much!!!

if they sent it Sept 30 most probobly it reaches CIC so better call CIC call center and ask about your wp application if they received it and if you have your client i.d. you can do it on automated answering call.

Ask your consultant what mode s/he sent your application: Canada Post or another service provider/courier and go to the website of the particular service provider.

Hi thanks to all!! I got it tracked thru DHL, I just googled the possible postal service that has 10 digits tracking number.

By the way, I saw that my WP application was successfully delivered to CPC Vegreville a day after, but, when I tried calling CIC to check on the automated answering call, the recorded information they provided were the details of my present work permit still.  They have not updated their record yet? Or automated answering call will be updated once they are through with my application?  Thanks again!!! Smiley

Hi there! I read your post about sending your wp package. Are you applying inside Canada? I just want to share mine, that I applied in HK, i check my tracking number through the internet and it was confirmed it was delivered last August. (my agency from canada sent it to me in hk then I mailed in CIC-HK) After a few weeks I check again the tracking number in the internet it also showed invalid and same details you have when you checked it. So I am thinking they are refreshing their delivery updates after a few weeks. Smiley

Anyway, can you share which call center did you call? Because in HK there is a contact number of CIC but it is always an automated machine which always say for any questions pls email or read in the website.

It has been 2 mos I haven't hear frm the embassy. Can you tell me which number you dialled?
Actually I only had my LMO # and my passport #. But my mistake was I am not able to photocopy the documents of my application (excitement) though I have all my original certificates, the one with my client ID i don't have. Is it needed? But maybe I can ask my consultant.. Hope she has a copy though:)

Hi YZSMC11.... I applied from within Canada.  I called Call Center number 1-888-2422100 and followed the instructions.  But you need to have your Client ID as the reference for your status.

Regards..
