I applied FSW which they received on 15th Dec 2008, and my NOC code was not in demand. Just now I check the status and there it says "Decision Made", so it surely means it is rejected?

I have also applied for AINP 2-3 weeks back, still need to get nomination from them.

I dn,t think that application sent in december 2008 shall immediately be rejected in march 2009. You should e.mail visa office.

I think it is rejected because my NOC code was not present in new list of NOC codes which was released in nov 08. I have applied thru a consultant and he earlier told me he is already getting files back of ppl whose NOC code is not in list.

Many applicants on this forum have confirmed that according to the new rules, decision made before medicals not always mean rejection. Many has this message but later they received request for medicals. You have to wait for the next step and I know it is difficult.

Finally I have received letter from CIC stating that since my NOC code was not in list, so application is denied.
They will be sending my fees back in few weeks. I wonder why they keep saying that they modified NOC codes in feb 2008 while everyone knows that they did released new NOC codes on 28th Nov 2008, and people like me posted there application before this list was released, so it is not my fault, I wouldn't have applied at all If they would have really released new NOC codes in feb 2008.

Hi AmmarShahin,

Since you applied in March 2008, you fell under the new rules. But since you applied before Nov 28, 2008, your application was transferred to Nova Scotia. I have also the same case as your. I applied in April 2008. Did you receive a new file number from Nova Scotia? Were you able to use the initial file number that you received at the time you applied to the visa office responsible for your country? I still have my old file number and the status does not change. It keeps saying, "We started processing your application in April 2008...". I wonder why CIO Nova Scotia is taking so long to send the application back to the CIC Singapore office. :-(

Regards,
mcgyver
