apali,

Just need date, your name, your current address, your name again, your current address again, and signature at the end. You also need to send a cashier's check of $18 per person (separate check for each person), a fingerprint card with your fingerprints on them and completley filled out and signed by you and the person who took your fingerprints. Good luck.

Got the form ISP6-404B. Heading to local police station to get fingerprinted. Out of state applicants could get fingerprinted anywhere, no need to go to IL.

So, you are planning on going for the fingerprint option? I was planning on going for the non-fingerprint option, but if everybody starts going for the fingerprint option, the CIC may ask me and others to send the PCC that is obtained using fingerprints. It seems like I need to go for the fingerprint option too as I do not want to send the PCC twice.

I also received my forms and cards. They were pretty fast. I requested forms for both options, if in case I needed to chose one over the other.

FBI Clearance required fingerprints. I would assume the same for Illinois PCC. Better to give more than they want.

Yes I agree with you. This evening, I went to the local police station with the card that was sent to me by Illinios Police and had my fingerprint taken.

I also confirmed with an immigration consultant and according to him we are supposed to go with FINGERPRINT option whenver it is available.

I also e-mailed CIC Buffalo asking them which option I should go with and an idiot from there sent me the link of how to obtain a police certificate instead of answering my question. I thought my question was very clear and the e-mail was was very short, but the idiot did not bother to read it.

I replied to that person with some strong words and encouraged him/her to read the e-mail message before replying it based on the subject line. I hope I have not jeoperdized by chance of getting a PR by doing this.

I used my real name, gave my cell number, city and state as well. Now I am worried. I have also not heard back from them.

EDIT: deleted the e-mail part

Well, it's water under the bridge.
You should be fine.
Lets hope they are too busy to be vindictive, and also that a less important/powerful team screens/answers the e-mails.

Thanks nomad_musafir.

I just received an e-mail reply from the CIC people and the e-mail said, if they offer both, pick the one you want. Fingerprint option they require is the FBI only.

I replied to them and apologized for the negative tone of my previous e-mail. I think I am good now.

Anyway, I already did the fingerprints for all the states (4 states) and mailed my documents this afternoon.

I think every one has to do that because you are applying for CIC. Both AINP & CIC are different entities. Below is the link you should be following the instructions accordingly.

Yes, you need to obtain State PCCs. I, actually, got my nomination on the first week of Feb and I am still running around to collect PCCs including state ones, so I can send my documents to the CIC Buffalo.

If you had the nomination and your documents were received by the CIC Buffalo office before Feb 19, 2009, then you may have not needed them. Sounds like you do not even have a file number yet, so start collecting all the PCCs when you have a plenty of time.

"Each request form must be accompanied by a check or money order in the appropriate amount made payable to the Illinois State Police. No other form of payment will be accepted."
