Engg:

call the 1-888-467-2080 number that is shown on the link and set up an appointment in your city or the nearest location. They give your finger prints on a card (and I assume this is the approved DPS card). you need to mail it to the DPS address along with the other requested information.


I am doing the same thing, got the finger prints and getting ready to mail it to the DPS address.

BTW, does any one know how long it takes to get the fingerprints back from the time you mail it to them.

At the sheriff's office (call ahead and check with them) or the UPS store (not sure).

Guys ,

I got my Nomination last week under old process

I have recently moved to Texas ( Houston ) . i need state pcc for MICHIGAN and ILLINOIS . i already have the forms for those states but do not know where to go in Houston to get my fingerprints taken so that i can send forms back to Michigan and Illinois ...

Please Help

I applied for PCC for Texas and got them in 10 days
Took fingerprints and sent a cashiers check . I even emailed them to f/up after 1 week and they replied immediately

Steps

1. Go thru the form  www.txdps.state.tx.us/ftp/forms/cr-30.pdf (PDF* 51.2 KB)

2. fingerprint card : www.L1enrollment.com . Call them or schedule an appointmnet online. They charge 9:95 USD and u get upto 4 fingerprint cards (Tell them u want the FBI blue card for fingerprints)

3. Cashiers check /Money order : Enclose a $15.00 check or U.S. money order made out to the Texas Department of Public Safety for each individual. They do not accept personal checks

4. Request DPS for criminal record and provide the results to the individual or another named party; and
Include name, phone number, mailing address for response. If the response is to be mailed to another person ( give their details - name , phone number, email address and mailing address)
Include expedited date details in this letter ( when do u need the results by and for what purpose and they will try to send it within that deadline )

5. mail the written request, fingerprint card(s) and payment to:
Texas Department of Public Safety
Crime Records Service
P. O. Box 15999
Austin, Texas 78761-5999

I will send u the email ID i wrote to follow up later today ( cant access personal mail from work ! )
