I too need certs for IL and MI .I already submitted my CIC .Reached on March 2 ,2009. Grrr.. i did not know the requirements then ..
I will call the Michigan - records department and find out more info ..

I called the phone number provided ... They want a finger print taken in the local police station and a check for $ 30 for Criminal Record division . The officer said that i should get the cert in 2 weeks. Any luck in getting PCC from Michigan ?

npnotesin, Are you talking about FBI PCC or MI PCC ? Do we have to use FBI finger print card even for MI PCC ? Can i use attached (scanned) copy for finger printing ? |

When I spoke to MI police, the lady mentioned to have fingerprints taken on FBI fingerprint Card. I guess, they won't take fingerprint cards issued by other states.

Correct me if i am wrong , Take FBI card , get the finger print from the state where you are and then send the card to MI for PCC Can we use the downlodable card from FBI website When I spoke to MI police, the lady mentioned to have fingerprints taken on FBI fingerprint Card. You could get FBI fingerprint cards from Police or private cos. May be you could use the downloaded form but I would prefer to use the printed form.

whats the address is it the same on the cic website for Mi or somethnig different .....

No cover letter required. Go to local police statation and request for state finger print forms. fill the form and send it to The Michigan State Police Criminal Records Division 106 W. Allegan Lansing, Michigan 48933 Include $30 DD payable to "The State of Michigan" They will send it in two weeks Friends ,

Thanks RK Currently , i am in North carolina , went to local county police department and got my finger prints on FBI CARDS and not on state cards ( i am not sure if you are refering to MI state card or NC state card ) is that ok ? just to confirm, it is going to be for primay and seconday applicant , right ?
