Let's make this thread the place to discuss about STATE police certificate (new requirement that was added on Feb 19, 2009). Helpful Link: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/detroit/offices-bureaux/certificates-certificat.aspx?lang=eng&menu_id=332&menu=LI need to gather them from 4 states: NY, IL, AL, and UT. Looks like NY charges $50 per person. What a rip off. IL charges either $16 or $20 depending on what kind of certificate we need, but I still need to figure that out and would love to hear from somebody who has already figured this out. AL charges $25 per person, but not much info online, so not sure how to get it. UT, I can go and pick it up the same day with $10 fees. I hate that the CIC had to come up with this new requirement when I was getting ready to send my documents. Thanks guys and good luck to all of you.

Nix1, Can you let me know the website for AL police report. I had lived there (Birmingham) for almost two years. Although my application is still in Alberta, I want to know in advance and bag information..Good luck to you on getting from all four states and for your CIC...

Incorrect. Everything you want is, in fact, available online. http://www.dps.state.al.us/ABI/Ident.aspx Scroll down to "Criminal History Information". Come on now guys.... google is your friend

I will have to get from IL, KY and NC. IL -- i think it is the $20 application, the other one is non-fingerprint method. You can request the card online. KY -- $20 and NC -- $14. FBI -- $18. So a total of $72/person! I think i better start now...

Hi, I'm going through CT's PCC. I'm confused as to what do I need to mention in address(present address or my CT's address) I'm currently in OR. And no where it is mentioned about duration of stay (ie from_date & to_date) in this pdf. http://www.ct.gov/dps/lib/dps/reports_and_records/dps-0846-C.pdfPlease need you advice on this. Thanks Kale

Hi Kale, I have to get a PCC from Virginia too. There are two request forms SP-167, SP-230. I am fairly certain that SP-167 is what we would need, but I wanted to get a second opinion. Thanks

With the State PCC requirement being so new, you won't find any "seniors" who had to do VA PCC.
SP-167 is correct and I opted for the cheaper option of $15, and not the combo with Sex Offender since CIC did not specify anything. Also, I haven't been even remotely connected to that stuff.

Hi nomad_musafir, Have you requested this form to be mailed to you or did you opt for this form to be mailed to a Canadian consulate? Thanks

Thanks nomad_musafir for the link of AL police check. I called them this morning and I got the same link too. I downloaded the form, filled it out and ready to be sent, but not sure if I need to send a fingerprints as it does not mention anything about that on the form.

Please tell me when one should apply for Security Clearnace, Should I wait for AINP approval and then apply for PCC, etc.... These PCC should go with application when we sent to CIC/buffalo ? From the forum here, i have observed that PCC takes in all 2 months (Federal,State,Home Country/Consulate (in my case it is India) ) Please suggest the safest and times saving option
