Hi,
E-commerce may be niche option to start anew business. In North America It is growing continuously. In 2010 E-commerce in Canada was worth $15.3 billion. In that particular year 51% of internet users purchased goods and services for personal and household use. Internet users are increasing worldwide. If you find the right products to sell than eCommerce business will be a profitable one for you.

If you want to start a business, then it is better to buy an existing business. If you will start from a very beginning then you have to struggle a lot in searching employees and location for your business. An existing business can provide you all equipment and employee who will now work for you.You have to to struggle only to reach your business at zenith .

You can do an import export business, or if you interested in IT related work you could do freelance web development. There is a great scope for selling designer wear from pakistan to asians in canada as well

Hi,

Opening new business or buying existing business depend on your local research.  Living in Ottawa, I knew a case that the seller open the same business after selling his previous company and take back all clients.  So, the purchaser, in fact, has just bought a company on paper.  Don't forget the non-competition clause in the S&P agreement.

With regard to insurance, there are many types of insurance in Canada to protect business owner's family from the financial burden raised by the company activities if any including overhead expenses, key person, buy-sell agreement, ....  If you need more details, please PM me.

Rgds,

You could look into starting a Subway franchise, I think the start up cost is around $75k.

Well jazz you have very handsome amount by which you can start a very good business in Canadian community or economy. I must suggest you to purchase any food chain franchise like pizza hut or domino's and all other like McDonald and whatever. By this you will not struggle much to make it up in Canadian market because these are existing companies who set up their big market and name in the Canadian economy so that just by it and start earning.
