If you are applying for an extension then you already have a client ID number which is on the top right hand side of your existing Study Permit - its says in the box CLIENT ID - ID DU CLIENT it will be written like this 5798-6128 that is the number you use on any documentation you need to send in.

Hi, you should be ok.  Just make sure you use the Client ID number from now on.  It happened to me before (didn't provide Client ID No.) on my renewal and I was fine.  CIC officers have other ways to identify you and find your information in their system.

Hi, if you would like to get your permit faster, then just do online renewal.  Per processing time info on www.cic.gc.ca, it takes over 60 days to process paper application and only 1 day (or maybe a few more, just cut them some slack) for online.

Just click on Study Permit, then extending your stay, then you will see the options for renewal by paper or electronic (online).  You can upload your passport page, transcripts, etc. online.  You will see all those when you start the process.  It will all be self-explanatory, I did that on my own.  You will find your way, don't worry.

It's not difficult just go slow so you do not miss a step.  You should be able to do it.

Good luck.

But i paid the fee in bank(study permit extension application fee)
Can i upload the fee receipt too when i do it online?

Will it be ok.??.

Also, Can i also upload the fee receipt from the college..(the receipt i have from paying the first sem fee)?

in the following link it says

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/epass.asp

MyCIC is your space on the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website. You can use MyCIC to apply for certain student services online. If you have applied online, you can also update your email address, view your correspondence with CIC and pay electronically for your Online Application.

Please let me know.

Sure, you can scan then upload CIC fee receipt (IMM 5401). I did it that way bec I also paid to the bank with cash, not with credit card online.

You can also scan then upload receipt that you paid your tuition to the college.

Hope this helps.

Hi Experts,

I am applying online for study permit extension..

In the documentation list

they asked for 4 documents

1. Fee receipt ( $125)

2. Letter from post-secondary institution

3. Passport

4. Finanacial support

My questions is they did not ask any where for transcripts for last one year..

Do i need to scan new acceptance letter, fee receipt from college, transcripts for last one eyar(from another college) as a one documents and upload???

Also for financial support i have my bank statement, my brother covering letter(he is supporting me), his employement letter, his bank statements?. Do i need to upload as one document?

Please let me know..

Thank you in advance..
