I read somewhere that under new process they may not notify file number and directly send the nomination..
that may be the case with you..

Awesome! atleast something makes sense ;)

Maybe there is no March applicant on this forum..

My application was received in Mar, but I have not received my file number...

My NOC code is 2121 (Biologist), so I was kind of hoping to get my file number early. I guess NOC code doesn't really matter for processing priority...

I was under the impression NOC codes matter too and specially for April15 deadline, I was thinking application might get processed real slowly(as most of them were heaped in rush..)...but weirdly not many march people seem to have received any feedback although new April folks have received file #s this week. Specially those under old process have already waited too long starting applications as far back as November and still waiting on file #/Certificate....

It was expected to be the cutoff date for all IT people(exc mgrs) but then they ended up doing that in May instead.

Hey Nik,

Great news and congratulations! My application was received on April 14th and I filed by myself too. Was wondering if you can help me with these questions?

1. You said you got an email confirming the file#. Who was the email from? I mean the "FROM" email address, just so that I can keep an eye for that email address.
2. Did you file under the US H-1B category?

Thanks,

Application delivered on April 14, 2009
Received file number on June 17,2009 and the last four digits starts with 3XXX

Quick Question, I just received a new I797 approval notice and I want to send it to the AINP office, Do you think just faxing the approval notice would be fine or I have to get it notarized again and mail them?

Thanks in advance for answering my question.

Good Luck
