Guys,

Once you get the nomination, within how many months do you need to submit the application to CIC? Just wanted to know, because It takes time to get FBI Clearance, State Clearance Certificates so that i can plan and get them right now. I got doc request on 16th Dec and sent the documents thru email on 17th. Waiting for my nomination.

Also, If i get married after i submit the application, Can i later add my spouse to the PR Application and both of us get PR's.
If YES, Is there any particular phase of the CIC application before which i need to do it, like Before Medicals, Before Visa etc.
If NO, then what will be the process?

I really appreciate your help.

After you sent the response back to the AB officer on Doc request, do you guys get any email? Or directly getting the nomination letter?

Again, can any one suggest me when is the right time to apply for PCC and FBI?

Is there anyone who got doc request in Jan 2010?

I got a doc request two weeks ago and sort of had an interview via email on what I do as regards to my position. It was Roberta Mclean who emailed me and requested for some docs.  I wasn't able to provide her with all the docs she requested because it was difficult for me to get it from my employer as my boss might have doubts on why I need those douments. Was there anybody here who did not comply with all the requested documents and still got a nomination?

Hi guys,

I received my file number on 12th of August, 2009 and had applied last day of March, 2009 so application reached around 8th April (I did not enable tracking so I am guesstimating the received date).   NOC 2171

But so far I have not received any request for documents as some of you above have. Is that any cause of concern?  I did change addresses so I am worried maybe they mailed something in post and I did not receive?  Does every candidate receive a request for documents or should I just expect to wake up one morning and receive the nomination? 

I did call them a few days back to clarify and they did not have me in the system stating that unless nomination is granted they do not put candidates in the system.  Basically they cannot look you up with a file number.

Hello Friends,

Finally..... whew .... I got my nomination letter from Alberta today. The document was sent by AB department on FEB-03-2010.


My timelines are:
FILE # XXXX-09-24XX
NOC -2171
APPLICATION SENT - MAR 20
Got email from Alberta(Verification (or) Doc Request)- JAN 15
Nomination Letter received- FEB 10
