AlbertaGovernor, On query, they had sent an email asking me to respond within 2 days and I sent response back. They confirmed on return mail that evidence has been recieved and attached to my case/file. Hope this helps.

According to AINP website, it takes "at least 8 months" to receive nomination certificate after file number. It is not good idea to collect PCC now since it is valid only for 3 months. (It is better idea to collect PCC after receiving nomination.) What you need for CIC process (Buffalo) is listed in the following link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37048.pdf

With the current uncertainity in the timelines it would be best to wait for nomination. If you have lot of money at hand then you can keep applying for PCC and letting them expire till you get the nominations.

Congrats, malu! Are you under old process? Your file number seems to be small compared to other applicants who applied about the same time as you.

Its going to take up to 2 yr to get your nomination, bcoz of the large volume of h1b application was received. this information i am giving based on the discussion i had with the officer who is working on my file. One day this officer called me for my missing document to be send over and had few questions with my documents. while talking to her she said this is going to take for ever. only way to fast track is to get a job offer in alberta. taking her suggestion i had manage to get a project in alberta from my existing employer in usa and send the same officer my work permit copy and offer. the same day she day she will approve my file and should be getting it shortly. why i am doing all this bcoz i have lost hope in USA gc process and this is better than usa. keep you posted once receive nomination. i am looking to get my PCC done soon.
