Hi Guys - Good news :)
I got my file number # today. I applied under NOC # 2173 ( Software Engineers & Designers )
Applied for AINP on March 24,2009
Application reached AINP on March 25,2009
File number received # August 7,2009
File number # 7913-xx-xxxx
I am guessing it will take another 5-6 months tops for nomination. Looks like AINP is keeping up their 4 month timelines in issuing file number. So dont lose hope !
Good luck Rxv
Congrats, rxv2562. Could you post LAST 4 digits of your file number, not the FIRST 4 digits. Last 4 digits can tell us how AINP process is moving (First 4 digits don't tell us anything because everyone receives the same). Thank you. Last 4 digits : 25xx

Hi All, I received the file number today.
File # :XXXX-09-2543 NOC: 2141 Application sent to AiNP: 24-Mar-2009 Application reached AiNP: 25-Mar-2009 Received file# Dt. : 07-Aug-2009
When I applied I was hoping I would get my nomination around Sep 09 or Oct 09. Lot applicants who applied in around the same time received only the file #s. It is just like a confirmation. I dont know why they take so much time to give a #. And still we need to get nominated, then get FBI, PCC and CIC process and another wait.....
Anyway I lost my hope in this whole process only. I am giving this info, so atleast it would help somebody who is tracking all this.
Good Luck to all of you!!!

My application reached on March 18th, I didn't got back any response from them. Two days before, i decided to call them to find my status. They informed that they have got 6000 application and it will be processed in order. Today, I got an email from them - http://www.industrymailout.com/Industry/View.aspx?id=161400&q=141977893&qz=d7cab2My Job Code is 2171. Does any one got similar email from AINP or follow up with AINP?

This is really weired, seems like they don't process in the order as they received. Looks like Canada immigration is also messy like USA.

This is to confirm receipt of the AINP application for the abovementioned on August 10, 2009. Congrats, guchi. That means that your application information is now in their system and AINP is going to assess your application. Next step is to wait for your nomination, which will take at least 8 months (according to AINP website). And could you tell us your file number (last 4 digits) and NOC code. They will help us understand how AINP is processing our applications. Thanks.

AINP still can reject applications during the assessment period (8+ months). For example, all applicants who applied after Feb 19 must maintain H1-B status till AINP issues nomination. If the applicant loses his/her job, the case can be rejected. After the assessment/nomination, you still have CIC process which includes medical, background check, etc. Applications can be rejected in CIC process, too. And the last known file number to get nomination is 6XX, but it was in June 09. Since then, we haven't heard any good news. You can check our timeline in the following link. It is an excellent tracking system created by vsrao and DJ in this forum. Because you posted your timeline here, your info will be updated in the tracking system.
