Yaa this is fact as we have heard some members having AEO with them getting medicals and we people without AEO+ pre juners will get same in time span of 6 to 12 months.Hey best thing is now they have officially published the same. it is all togther a +ve thing for us. HELL OUT WITH PRIORITY just be happy that at least we are IN QUE AND IN THEIR MIND IN POSITIVE FRAME ONLY and they have decided to process our cases not return our applications like pre feb-2008. Hello, As per the notice, I think it means only those applications in demand or those with job offer are currently being processed. That is why I think we are in 'no demand' queue and 6-12 months wait might be an optimistic figure...

What is in demand occupation?? there is basically no difference between MI-2 and MI-3. Than why MI-3 are processed before MI-2. Secondly trade skilled worker are in demand in fact they are not able to get sufficient applications from those(thats why they were in MI-1,2 and 3 and rules will be relaxed for them). So my occupation is in demand in that case as it was in MI-1,2 & 3. So why is my app not processed. It has been conformed that they are overhauling current point system focusing younger applicant with high level language skill. Any of the members has information (or any idea) about potential points in different areas??

My thoughts are similiar, but if some of us are to get visa in 6 months than they should get medical request now, but its not happening.
Dear Nano, I think that evenif we (NDVO Prejuners) get MR in say July-Aug, then we will get maple leaf by the end of 2012 as NDVO is issuing Medical & Passport request together.

Hello Nano, As per my understanding, the current priority as u have also mentioned is MI3>MI2>MI1 (those having NOC found in MI2 and MI3 like u). After that remaining MI1 will be processed. Your occupation is in demand in all MI's but as u had applied under MI1 it will be processed only after MI2 and MI3 are dealt with. As per current trends, I believe u will still get MR before rest of us(NOC 1111/0111 etc.) most prob. before Q4 2012. I guess the picture will become clearer once new instructions are given by Immig. Min. by this month-end and also when latest data is updated on the Can. govt. data website...

Dear All,
I went against advice of a lot of seniors and have applied for a visiting visa for Canada for July to Dec(my husband is on a student visa there doing his PhD, he gets stipend and TA from the university, so he is employed in a way). Today I received a call from the Canadian Embassy(+911141782000) for the same.
VO: You have applied for FSW and that your application is in process so you may be receiving your medicals soon. You're going to Canada may delay the PR process. ME: If I receive medicals I can do it in Canada. Secondly my PR application was taking my more time than we initially thought, and I want to visit my husband in the meantime. VO: Doing medicals in Canada may delay your PR and as you have added your husband in application it will delay the PR process. We need to run background checks on him. If you or your husband have visited any other country except India/Canada it will again delay as we need to run more background checks. ME: Even if I don't go to Canada and do my medicals my husband will have to do the same in Canada, so it will obviously delay the same. I have never been out of country and my husband in has only been to Canada. VO: You have applied for 6 months, are you planning to leave/resign from your job ME: No, I have commitments here and I wrote 6 months because the visa is generally for 6 months, my stay there would be shorter. VO: But you have applied for FSW you may have to resign ultimately. ME: PR and visiting visa are different things. VO: Okay Overall, she seemed convinced and the tone of the interview/call was pleasant (no air of superiority or trying to prove me wrong). Writing this because the VO/caller said that I am already on queue for medicals and that once our status is in process the Visa office has to complete the process in some time period(how much? that she did not say)
By the end of this week I may or may not get my visiting visa, but writing this to boost the confidence of all the Pre Juners.
Please wish me luck for my visiting visa.
I am positive that most of us will get our medicals this year at least.

Dear Nano24482, Wishing you all the best for your Visitor visa as well as PR visa. Information you provided clearly indicates that NDVO intends to send MR in near future to Pre-Juners. So on the outset it looks great provided that devil's mind does not go further. (Bill-C38 empowers Immigration to decide our future "New powers allowing the Citizenship and Immigration Minister to reject an applicant to Canada who has already been deemed admissible by immigration officers, set limits on what types of immigrants can have their applications processed each year, and require that ineligible persons applying for residence on humanitarian grounds to already be in Canada when they apply." and this bill is introduced in the parliament which will be cleared between June 08 to June 22, 2012, most intriguing fact is that this bill can not be defeated as it is part of budget and if it is defeated than Government will loose the power and collapes which is unlikely given the fact that Conservaties have enough numbers to pass the bill) Pls. refere this link and read last bullet point of this news. http://canadians.org/action/2012/Bill-C38.html
