Hi,
One of my friend, need help regarding his wife citizenship.
He was landed in 2000. In 2003, he got married in his homeland girl and sponsorship for his wife. His wife landed in Mar 2004 and got PR card. Their first kid born in Canada on Mar 2005. Her wife went out of Canada for 6 months to her home land. My friend got Canadian Citizenship/passport in 2006.
In 2007 he got job in USA, his wife moved with him in 2007. Their 2 nd kid born in USA. His wife didn't complete 3years physical presences in Canada.
Now he is asking. Can his wife apply for Citizenship? I am unable to find any link on CIC “CITIZENSHIP” that if spouse accompanying a Canadian citizen then it will count each days.
But I just found just on link in PR card renewal. That link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5445EA.asp
If you know any link for Citizenship that her days count for citizenship then let me know.
Thanks,

She needs to have lived in Canada for 3 years in the previous 4 years before applying.  If she was not in Canada all of 2008 and some of 2007, she will not make 3 years in the last 4 and can not apply for citizenship.  She will not lose her PR as long as she is with her citizen husband but she can not gain the right to apply for citizenship herself unless she is physically in Canada for 3 years.
