hi andiesman ! Yes , it is Spousal visa. Additional Relationship documents is what they will  require you to bring once you'll have an interview. But in my case, the V.O re-reviewed my file and cancelled the interview last Friday ( 6 days prior to my scheduled interview)  and he requested me to mail the Additional Relationship documents instead. 

Thanks for the info! Common law partner sa akin. we submitted our passports nung April. Then recently they requested for additional supporting documents so I was hoping if anyone has the same case and what their timeline is.

Based from your timeline, nauna ka lang sa akin ng 1  month... pero overall.. same lang status natin.. application and medical results received pa rin sa ecas.
Have you tried ordering GCMS notes? para makita mo kung anu yung last update ng VO or kung may na miss kayong letter from CEM?

JRD1979 since may 2011 u been watin for dm ?..if true that really sucks !..i dont see the spousal priority that is so claimed within cic more like nominee has taken over time for spouses.

it's Electronic Client Application Status - where you can check your application status, but don't rely on it too much.

JRD1979 since may 2011 u been watin for dm ?..if true that really sucks !..i dont see the spousal priority that is so claimed within cic more like nominee has taken over time for spouses.

hi xbox..ive been waiting for more than 6 months already..dont know if thats the normal waitiing time coz some would get their visa in less than 5 months, though we still fall within normal processing time as posted..hehe:) guess we really need a lot of patience..

WOW THATS WHAT I SAY IF U HAVE NO KIDS INVOLVED...IF U DONT HET IN 2 WEEKS CONTACT MP WITHIN CANADA AND GET MP TO DO INQUIRY..IT SIMPLY HELPS CEM TO WAKE UP AND SEE U NEED SOME ATTENTION...I KNOW MANY MP'S AND HAVE DISCUSSED CEM IN WHICH 2 OF THEM HAVE BEEN THEIR TWICE..U WANT HELP FROM MY END ASK ME , OK

thanks for the help..but i guess i have to wait till the max waiting time before looking for solution or doing any action and speciallly involving MP's hehhe...   since embassy ask for additional documents then i think its understood that it will really cause delay right.. so patience for now....thanks for ur suggestions though..

I know it does. Waiting is killing me as well. But there is nothing much to do for now but to wait. Patience is very important in this process. And with prayer it makes things easy .

nope, mp involved wont change anything except for the best...U need keep in mind that its been 6 months as u say, so i said wait 2 weeks if nothin start considering what i suggest.. i will also say this since i been to enbassy few times and i know one VO and we email eachother at times, actually i know 3 of them out of all 8...but eh up to u ok..

I agree with you. Better wait. I also know some people who know insiders but cannot do anything because they have dates to observe. All follow-ups are recorded. Of course if you approach them they are very nice to you, but who knows another VO who handles your docs may not like the follow-up.

Additional documents do not necessarily delay the process if it is the first time they asked. We are given much leeway in submitting docs, up to even 60 days, and that does not delay the whole timeline.
