they do update  eCAS....but in my experience,ECAS is delayed. I had the same experience as your husband did Grace.....I was called up by our local CIC officer here in Saskatoon,telling me my son has met all the requirements and visa will be issued within 30 days......when I checked his ECAS a few days after coz I got curious;it says IN PROCESS. If your husband's CIC officer friend, said its DM then you have to believe him,he will never say its DM if he didn't see it in their system.

I HAVE FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS, ASIDE FROM RIGHT FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE FEE WORTH 490$ WHAT ARE THE OTHER FEES YOU'VE PAID? AND HOW MUCH IS IT?
