How did you find out that your file number changed? Did you get a letter?
first i ws not able to check my status at ecas............... thn i mail chc askn n remindng my medical is gona expire such such date........ n d reply ..thy mentioned....dat my new file no. is fxxxxxxxx n its n que for initial review.......... ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  |

Only if you are a PR. If you are a citizen you can leave after the sponsorship has been approved by CPC-M and the file is transfered to the VISA office abroad... Anyone correct me if I am wrong, but I am sure I read this somewhere... |

my consulant told me stricky dat d sponsorer has to stay n canada..... d whole time of process............... like whn my hubby came to visist me for a week , we specficly told chc... he came visit me , n went back.. showing his return ticket plus boarding passs................ rest .....correct me if i m not wrongggggggg |

It is true if you are a PR..
Whereas, A Canadian citizen can sponsor the spouse even while outside Canada. You don't have to be in Canada even for the approval from Mississauga. However, you do have to show the intention of returning back to Canada once your spouse gets the Permanent resident visa.

My hubby applied in Oct 2010 and Approved Nov 2010. Islamabad received file in Dec 2010 ..... And till toay....NOT even AOR.  |
