SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP-CHC ISLAMABAD 2009

hey everyone!
My husband applied for my spousal permanent resident visa in Sept 2009 and Islamabad high commission started processing my case in Nov 2009. I have had my medical examination twice since then. The last being in march 2011, afterwards Islamabad embassy asked me for further documents, updated police certificate, updated forms etc which I sent in June 2011. After that I haven't heard anything from them.

Can anyone who applied in 2009 tell me if they have received their visa?any idea how much longer mine will take considering the second medical in mind?

Also should I apply for a temporary resident visa?any chance I will be granted one?

Any information would be helpful. I have been living apart from my husband for almost 2 years now other than his periodic visits and its very stress full. My husband is a PR holder and also has a good job.
