Hi,

I have recently received a letter from CIC Mississauga regarding the approval of my husband's sponsorship and the file now has been transferred to Islamabad for the further processing.  I would like to ask if anyone knows about how long the Islamabad office is taking now a days.  I am aware of the 5 months period written on the website but want to know the actual time as those processing times are not accurate.  Also, my husband stayed in Canada for about 2 years in past and i am wondering if he will have to provide a police report from Canada or not.  I checked several websites and found out that we don't need to provide a police report from Canada unless the visa office asks for one.  Its been already 2 years since we got married and I am really desperate to get my husband here as soon as i can.  Therefore, if we do need a police report from Canada how can i obtain it without the letter from Visa office.

If anyone knows about it, please help.

1.  He will be notified if he requires a fingerprint check from Canada by Islamabad.
2.  The processing time on the web site, is the average time, if an interview is required or additional documents it will be longer.

Dear, The same to my case i have received my Client ID number from Mississauaga but, i am not sure when Canadian Embassy in Islamabad will send me letter or interview letter.

If you know exactly please let me know cause my case is the same to your case.
