Spouse sponsoring - received letter from CIC but where is my application kit?

Hello all,

In the letter I received from CIC, it says to resubmit my whole package kit with missing documents. However, I only received a letter from CIC, I don't see the package yet. It has been 3 days since we received the letter.

For those unfortunate ones of you, did you receive the letter first then your package or is there a chance that CIC actually kept the package? Hopefully it's not lost somewhere between Mississauga and Bangkok! I can't help but be depressed by seeing that whole package appearing at my doorstep... :-(

Surely there has been other people who received CIC letters requesting more documents...
Does anyone know if CIC always return the entire application package in these cases or had similar experiences?

I am concerned because the letter said that have sent the whole package but I haven't received anything. I would have expected them to send everything altogether?

Sorry, every time I've seen a request for more information or documents, the application is returned as well, and the officer often highlights exactly what needs to be filled in or sent.  I have no clue why you didn't get the whole package back.

Where did the letter come from?  If it came from CPC-Mississauga,  you should just call the CIC call centre to ask them.

Maybe they sent the letter from Mississauga, and the package went to the address listed abroad?  Is that possible?

Hello All,

Just wanted to let you know on what happened with my complication... So we first submitted the application kit and received a letter about a month later asking to resubmit the whole package with two missing forms. At this stage, I will not worry why they want these forms anymore, I will just do what CIC is requesting. The problem was that we didn't receive the application kit, although it was clearly stated in the letter to resubmit the entire application.

I am in Thailand, I can't call the 1-888 number (although someone gave another hint on what could work), so I desperately sent a fax to them.

Surprise, three days later, I got a call from CIC telling me that they did not sent the whole package, that they just require the two extra forms! I was so pleased with the call that I forgot to ask about the many things that were on my mind.

So now, I just wait for the Option-C printout and then I will resend the two "missing" forms. Hopefully it will not take another month before getting an answer from CIC.
