Hi,

I am a PR living in Canada and my spouse lives in India.

Recently my spouse's PR application was approved by  CIC - Mississauga and the application was sent to the local office(New Delhi) for further processing.

Now, I want to withdraw the application.

Please suggest as how to withdraw and whether I will get my fees back. I also paid the landing fees?

Please suggest!

Thank you

Alex

To my knowledge, one the case has been completed, you will not get any refund of those processing fees. However, you very well might get the landing fees back - as long as the person has not yet landed.

You might want to check the CIC website with a search on sponsorship withdrawal for the guidelines of what you must do to properly withdraw in a timely fashion.

1.  You fax a letter and email to ND stating that you wish to withdraw the sponsorship, you should also send a copy to Mississauga.
2.  If ND has not started to process the application you will get the fee back except for $75, and the RPRF will be refunded in full.  If they have started to process, then you will only get the RPRF returned.
