Hello everybody just wanna know your comment on a spouse who is about to be sponsored and doesnt want to come.  Will it affect the live in caregiver application for landed status? i heard from few friends that once the spouse doesn't want to come it will delay the processing of the papers and eventually will end to disapproval.  If this is the case, i think it is not fair.  What do you think dear forum? please help thanks a lot and God Bless.

If the spouse refuses to do the medical etc. it may be a problem.  As long as you are still married, you have to list your spouse on your application.  You may try to change your status to separated if there is no chance of getting back together anymore.  If the spouse goes along with the medical and gets the PR visa but doesn't use it, that will not be a problem.  The PR visa for the spouse will expire and that's it.
